JAMMU, OCTOBER 15: Destitute and Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA), in collaboration with Social Welfare Department organized camp at Khoon for verification of beneficiaries under ISSS and NSAP in which 203 life certificates were filled up for the eligible persons.
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, who attended the camp, elaborately highlighted the departmental schemes meant for socio-economic empowerment of under privileged segments of the society. He expressed gratitude to DAHWA for supporting and supplementing the efforts of his department since the past over three decades in bringing optimum beneficiaries under the ambit of social welfare schemes.
Chairperson DAHWA, S.S.Sumbria, created awareness among the people about various government schemes which can play a pivotal role in transforming their lives towards a better future. He emphasized the need of holding of awareness camps by all the concerned departments on regular basis so that the real purpose of launching these pro-poor schemes is met and maximum people are benefitted. He also thanked the district administration for extending support and cooperation to DAHWA in taking the benefit of government schemes to the genuine beneficiaries.
DAHWA team which conducted the camp was comprised of Subedar Om Prakash, Subedar Subhash Chand, Subedar P.C.Basotra, Meenakashi Devi, Suman Devi, Jan Mohammad and Faqir Chand.
