Striking Hry Roadways employees get support

The striking employees of the Haryana Roadways got a shot in the arm when about 1,100 government teachers went on mass leave today. The strike by the Haryana Roadways employees entered its 11th day today.

The teachers’ union had recently announced to go on mass leave in support of the Haryana Roadways employees. The teachers also raised slogans in support of the striking employees.
Leaders from various political parties such as Pradeep Chaudhary, district president, Indian National Lok Dal; Tarun Bhandari, cashier, Haryana Congress; and Kulbhushan Goel, president, INLD Beopar Mandal; also reached the dharna site to express solidarity with the striking employees and raised slogans against the state government.

They claimed that the decision taken by the Haryana Government was arbitrary. They urged the government to give immediate relief to the striking employees.
