New Delhi, October 28: US President Donald Trump has reportedly turned down India’s invite to be the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations next year.
The White House had in August confirmed that an official invitation has been extended to US President Donald Trump to be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama was the first US President to be bestowed the honour of a January 26 invitation by PM Modi in 2015 in a move that surprised all, including critics.
