A Kashmir student who was assaulted earlier this month at a private university in Greater Noida has gone missing, causing panic is his family back home in Srinagar.

Ahtisham Bilal, a first-year student of Medical Imaging Technology, was beaten up by a group of students following a clash between Afghan and Indian students in the first week of October.

His family members told that Ahtisham has not contacted them since Sunday.

“Ahtisham called me on Sunday morning at around 10:30 am and told me that he will go to Delhi from Noida. In the evening, Ahtisham told me he is on way back to the university hostel,” said Bilal Ahmad Sofi, his father.
Ahtisham is a resident of Khanyar in old Srinagar city.

His father said that Ahtisham had also informed his cousin, who is also enrolled at Sharda University that he will reach University hostel by 8pm.
“But he didn’t reach the hostel and created panic in whole family,” said his father.
