Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, organised its first edition of Model United Nations (MUN) on Friday.
The event will continue till November 11. More than 200 students from the tricity will participate in the MUN. Seven committees, UNGA, UNODC, UNSC, NATO, CSW, AIPPM and WHSR will be simulated with diplomatic agendas such as Syrian conflict, reviewing the recommendations by the Indian Election Commission, gender equality and other global issues.
The chief guest for the opening ceremony was Lt Gen BKN Chibber (retd). Principal Amanpreet Kaur welcomed the guest of honour, management members and executive board members. The ceremony witnessed cultural performances depicting the values of Sikh culture.
