MLA Nagrota meets Governor

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 13: Sh. Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Sh. Rana presented to Governor a copy of the “Project Proposal- Conservation of Heritage Components on Traditional Vaishno Devi Route” and requested Governor who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for the revival of the traditional route to the Shrine which starts from Jagti in Nagrota and ends  at Nomain and urged that this should be developed as an alternate route for the pilgrims visiting the Shrine. He also drew attention to the conservation of heritage assets particularly the step wells, ponds, sarais, temples, springs etc. on the old route.

Sh. Rana apprised Governor about the developmental scenario in his Constituency and about various issues of public welfare. He thanked Governor for sanctioning aGovernment Degree College for Nagrota which was along pending demand of people.

Governor assured due examination of the envisaged project and urged Sh. Rana to continue his endeavours for the welfare of the public of the State.
