Tourist from Mumbai dies of cardiac arrest in Gulmarg

Srinagar: A 65-year-old tourist from Mumbai, who was on a vacation with his family in Kashmir valley, died of cardiac arrest in world famous ski rest of Gulmarg on Monday.

Official sources said that one Sahib Rao, son of Maanik Rao, resident of Bandra East Mumbai, was in Gulmarg, about 55 km from here in north Kashmir, on a holiday with his family.

“Rao complaint of chest pain on Monday, following which he was immediately taken to a local hospital,” they said.

However, they said Rao died of severe cardiac arrest at the hospital. “After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives,” they added.
