2 Maoists arrested in Jharkhand

New Delhi, November 21: Two Maoists were arrested and a large number of weapons were seized in a three-day operation by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and the state police in Jharkhand, officials said on Wednesday.

The joint search and cordon operation, from November 16-19, was conducted in the Maoist-infested areas of different villages in the Kathikund community block of Dumka district in Jharkhand.

Two Maoists–Babujan Hembram (23) from Saldah village and Govind Hembram (20) from Kusumba village–were arrested. A large quantity of ammunition, explosives and tech devices was seized, officials said.
The operation was conducted by SSB 35th Battalion Dumka and Jharkhand Police. IANS
