Citizen council meet held at Kalakote

RAJOURI, MAY 25: District Administration Rajouri today convened a meeting of citizen council to take stock of the issues and demands of the public in sub-division Kalakote.

The meeting witnessed participation of members of citizen council, Ex-sarpanches, civil society members, Numberdars and Chowkidars and chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Khalid Hussain and attended by ExEn PHE Division Nowshera, Tehsildar, BDO, CDPO, TSWO, TSO, ZEO, Range Forest Officer, SHO and other officers from concerned line departments.

The members projected the problem ofshortage of potable drinking water, power curtailment during the month of Ramadan, non-Payment of wages under MGNREGA, lack of adequate transport facilities, forest fires, staff shortage in schools and health institutes and other issues of public importance.

Some of the issues were resolved on the spot by the concerned officers, while specific directions were issued to the concerned by the ADC for resolving remaining issues in a time bound manner.

Interacting with participants, the ADC said the administration at district and sub-divisional level is committed to service of the public in a transparent and accountable way.
