Congress leader Raj Babbar’s comment on the falling rupee targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a rally in Indore in Madhya Pradesh has led to a controversy.
In the rally, Babbar said that during the Congress government at the Centre, Modi would compare the extent of the falling rupee to the then prime minister’s age. He further said that now under the current government the rupee had fallen to the extent that it almost touched the age of the current PM’s mother.
Reacting to this, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said the Congress is stooping low and making nasty comments. He said comparing the rupee vs dollar to the age of Modiji’s mother showed Babbar’s mentality and he should immediately apologise.
