Several persons were injured during clashes with the government forces in Kuthipora village of Chattergam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district where two militants were killed in a gunfight.
Reports said scores of youth took to streets after the news of gunfight spread in the area.
They said that the forces fired pellets and several tear-gas shells to disperse the protesting youth.
During the clashes, several youth suffered injuries and have been referred to Srinagar hospital for treatment.
Clashes were going on in the area when this report was filed.
