JAMMU, NOVEMBER 28: Secretary Cooperatives and Tribal Affairs, Abdul Majid Bhat today chaired the meeting of officials to review the functioning of the department.
The meeting was attended by the MD JAKFED, Registrar Cooperatives, Joint Registrar Cooperatives and other senior officers.
While reviewing the activities of the cooperatives sector in the state, Abdul Majid directed for undertaking necessary measures so that the cooperative sector in the state gets a fillip. He said that a sustained and synergetic approach is needed for reviving the department, which has a tremendous potential of providing the people with much needed network of marketing their produce to the targeted sector and at affordable prices.
The Secretary directed the officers for coming with a phased road map so that the necessary measures are undertaken for revival of cooperative sector. He said that the officers should synergize their efforts and activities so that lacunae, if any are removed.
