ADDC chairs review meet in Shopian

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 4: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Mohammad Saleem Malik today reviewed the achievements made by the line departments under various government-sponsored schemes for the quarter second of FY 2018-19.

During the meeting, the ADDC reviewed the performance of banks in regard to achievement under Government Sponsored Schemes of 2018-19 and also assessed the position of deposits, advances and CD.

Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that the Livestock sector plays an important role in the socio-economic development of the people and need of the hour is to boost the sector.

He said the agriculture and horticulture sector has great potential in the socio-economic development of the rural area as most of the population is directly or indirectly associated with these sectors.

ADDC directed the officers of agriculture, horticulture, and animal and sheep husbandry to join the hands with other line departments and farmers to ensure better results in milk production, increase in agricultural and horticultural activities for providing a boost to the economy of the district.

Lead District Manager Shopian, Abdul Rashid Mir informed the meeting that the overall achievement under GSS as on 30-11-2018 is 26.22%.

Cluster Head J&K Bank, Associate lead Bank Officer Shopian, Chief Planning Officer Shopian, besides senior functionaries of RBI, JK Bank, PNB, RSETI, and representatives from all other Banks and government departments attended the meeting.
