Srinagar, Dec 5: Alert sentry foiled a militant attack at a police station in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said here on Wednesday.
The militants attacked police station Shopian, last night with automatic weapons. Alert sentry guarding the police station immediately retaliated but the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness. No one was injured in the encounter.
Later, security forces, rushed from nearby camps, cordoned off the area and conducted searches
