Anantnag, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday organised a “counseling session” for the youths, who are being instigated and misguided to pelt stones on security forces in the district, a police spokesman said.
He said police organised the session here in which a large number of youths and their parents from different parts of the town participated.
The participants, mostly youths, who were misguided and instigated to pelt stones on security forces during Cordon and Search Operations (CASO) and other demonstrations in the district, were counseled by senior police officer.
He said the youths were being misguided by some unscrupulous elements of society for stone pelting on security forces, Barring in south Kashmir stone pelting incidents, particularly near the encounter sites during CASO, has come down.
Police has detained a number of youths, some of them booked under Public Safety Act (PSA), in south Kashmir during the past few months.
