Comedy king Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath tied the knot in Jalandhar last night. The couple got married with their close friends and family in attendance.
The big-fat wedding took place at at The Grand Cabbana resort in Jalandhar. Ginni looked beautiful in red lehenga while Kapil rocked the mehendi green sherwani.
But before sitting for the pheras, Kapil was jittery and nervous. He even thought of running away from his own wedding. You don’t believe it?

In the video, Kapil can be seen thanking his fans for their love and blessings for their new phase of life. In his funny way, he further says that we are heading for thr pheras, you tell should I go or run away from here.
The bride stuck to the traditional for her attire, and accessorised her look with maatha patti, nath and statement earrings and a layered neckpiece.
Kapil sported a green sherwani, with string adding some drama to his look. His triple kalgi on the turban and sword grabbed attention, as did his bearded look.
He shared their first wedding picture himself via Instagram, with an emoticon with folded hands in gratitude for the love and blessings from all over.
The venue had ample security considering Kapil is an established name in the industry and has a huge fan following. Invitations to the wedding itself had a barcode for entry. The star attraction was a performance by Gurdas Maan.
His industry friends Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakravarti, Rajiv Thakur, singer Richa Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu and his wife Navjot Kaur attended the big-fat Punjabi wedding. His friends have been posting happy pictures with the comedy king on their Instagram pages and looks like they are enjoying every ritual to the fullest.

Post the wedding, Kapil will host a reception in his hometown Amritsar on December 14 with close friends and family in attendance. For other industry friends, a reception will be hosted in Mumbai on December 24.
Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath have known each other since their college days but the couple came close while participating in Star One’s Hans Baliye together. Ginni hails from Jalandhar and is an MBA in finance. Kapil is looking forward to his marriage and feels Ginni will make an excellent partner.
