Bengaluru: At least six people were killed and five others were critically injured after a boiler exploded in the distillery unit of Nirani Sugar Factory Limited in Mudhol in Karnataka’s Bagalkote district on Sunday noon. If reports are to be believed, 10 people were working in the sugar factory when the blast occurred.
The intensity of the blast was so powerful that the three-floor building collapsed completely , leaving four persons dead on the spot.

Former minister and BJP legislator Murgesh Nirani and his brothers Sangamesh and Hanumantha are the owner of the Nirani Sugar Factory Limited.
The reason behind the blast is yet to be known. More details in the incident awaited.
