DODA, DECEMBER 18:- Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg, today chaired a meeting of coordination committee to review the working of One Stop Centre (SAKHI) Doda.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishori Lal, SSP, Shabir Ahmed Malik, CPO, DSWO, DIO, Incharge One stop centre (SAKHI), District Health Officer Dr. Tariq Masood, District Epedimologist Umar Khan besides other officer attended the meeting.
Pertinently, One Stop Centre (OSC) intends to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Under the programme, the women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and redressal.
DC asked for strong coordination among the Health, Police and other allied departments for timely redressal of grievances of women in distress. He directed for setting up of helpline number so that this scheme will be implemented in letter and spirit in the district for the cause of women folk.
The Incharge Police Station women cell Doda has been appointed as nodal officer to facilitate the One Stop Centre.
