3-day awareness campaign by ROB concludes at Sunderbani

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 19: The three-day awareness campaign organized by Regional Outreach Bureau Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Field Outreach Bureau Rajouri concluded here today.

The theme of the concluding event was Drug Abuse and its ill effects in the society.

Vice Principal, Boys Higher Secondary School Sunderbani, Girdhari Lal, SHO Sunderbani, Romal Singh, performer ROB Jammu, Ram Lal, Health Educator SDH Sunderbani, Romesh Kumar Sharma and Rajinder Singh Lecturer Zoology besides staff were also present on the ocassion.

The Speakers said that it is the moral duty of every citizen to come forward and contribute towards fight against drug menace. They enlightened the students about ill effects of drug abuse on human body.

Vijay MattoIncharge FOB Rajouri enlightened the audience about the working and organization of Regional Outreach Bureau Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. He said that ROB J&K is doing similar programmes in Poonch, Udhampur, Kathua and Jammu.

On the occasion, a cultural programme, drawing competition and a seminar were presented and students were awarded first, second and third prizes for their participation in these events. Besides, the registered troupe of ROB presented theme based and folk items.
