BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 19: Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir on Wednesday directed the officials of Public Health Engineering (PHE) to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the people of the district.
While responding to the grievances flagged by the residents of SaderkootPayeen, Mir directed the officials to make the Diesel Generator functional so that water can be provided to the habitations of Saderkoot. He assured every logistic support to the department to ensure regular water supply to the people.
Earlier residents of SaderkootPayeen informed the Deputy Commissioner that they are facing hardships owing to frequent power cuts as the water supply scheme available for the village remains defunct owing to the power cuts.
On this, Additional Deputy Commissioner directed to provide fuel to the Diesel Generator available to the water supply scheme so that the habitations get regular water supply within two days. He assured the residents that the district administration will provide fuel charges to keep the water supply scheme functional even during power cuts so that people do not face any hardships in the future.
The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora also assured the residents that the administration will find a long-term permanent solution to the water crisis. He said he has deputed the engineers to the area who will study the problems and will come up with a proposal to find a permanent solution to the water crisis.
