Chandigarh, December 19: A man reportedly committed suicide by hanging at Sector 24 here on Wednesday evening.
Sources said the victim had been identified as Rajveer, who worked with the PGI. The victim was alone at home when he took the extreme step.
The police said the door of the room where the incident took place was locked from inside when they reached the spot. They broke open the door and found the victim hanging.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two children.
Inquest proceedings had been initiated at the Sector 11 police station.
