Moderate quake jolts Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake of moderate intensity on Friday morning  shook Bhaderwah Valley and parts of Bhalessa in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, triggering panic among the residents.

The quake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter Scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt at 03.48 am, Met officials said.

“As of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to the property,” said ASP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh.

Panicked people rushed out of their homes in parts of Bhadarwah town when the quake, epicentered 7km North- east of Bhaderwah, struck.
