Today, a Police party headed by Insp Abid Hussain Bhukhari SHO Chanderkote was performing routine checking and frisking duty at Naka point Nashri.
At about 1400 hrs, a passenger vehicle (Xylo) bearing registration number JK 03C 9200, which was on way towards Jammu from Srinagar, was stopped and put to thorough search. During frisking of luggage of the passengers one bag was found containing contraband substance which was immediately seized and it’s owner Nazir Ahmad S/O Hayat Khan R/O Hapatnar Anantnag was arrested.
All legal formalities were completed on spot and during weighting, the charas was found to be of 3 KG and 600 gms of quantity.
In this regard case FIR No 72/2018 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation taken up to ascertain the involvement of others in the crime.
The whole effort took place under the supervision of Sh Sanjay Parihar Addl SP Ramban and overall supervision of Ms Anita Sharma SSP Ramban.
