JKLF chief Yasin Malik, seven others released on bail in Srinagar

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and seven other front leaders were released from jail on Wednesday after a local court granted them an interim bail.

A JKLF spokesperson said Malik and the party vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal, Muhammad Hanif Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganie, Shakir Ahmad Ahangar, Fayaz Ahmad and Basharat Ahmad were arrested on December 17, while leading a march towards Badami Bagh army base in Srinagar.

“Today after the expiration of seven-day remand, the case was heard by the additional session court Srinagar which ordered to release Yasin Sahib and others from police custody on an interim bail till 17th January 2018,” he said.
