Chandigarh, December 27: Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today asked Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar as to what machine he has that measures corruption levels in the state.

Hooda was responding to Khattar’s recent statement during a speech in Ambala that corruption has come down from 51 per cent to 19 per cent in four years of his regime and his government wanted to eliminate it completely.

During a press conference in MLAs’ Hostel here today, Hooda took a jibe at Khattar’s statement and said that if the CM had any such machine, he should share it with others so that all could take its advantage to eliminate corruption.

Terming the BJP regime as a government of scams, Hooda alleged the scam in announcement of award for Bawal land, purchase of paddy and ‘bajra’, cotton seed, purchase of pesticide, Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana, illegal mining at Dadam and other sites, power meters’ purchase, change of Gurugram Metro route, hiring of buses on kilometre bases etc have been witnessed during the present regime.

Flaunting the election manifesto of the BJP released for the 2014 Assembly polls, Hooda alleged that none of the promises made by the ruling party had been fulfilled.

He mentioned the implementation of the Swaminathan report, unemployment allowance of Rs6,000 and Rs9,000 for youths, hike in old-age pension to Rs2,000 per month, setting up of medical college in each of the 22 districts and wages to government employees on a par with the Punjab Government among the promises which allegedly have been forgotten by the BJP.
