Police on Friday used force to break up a protest against the disappearance of an eighteen-year-old boy in Kunzar area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An eye witness said the family members and the relatives of Shakir Mushtaq Sheikh who went missing yesterday staged a protest today in Kunzar area of Tangmarg.
He said the police resorted to lathi-charge after the traffic movement was hampered due to the protest.
The family members said that Shakir, a resident of Turk Batpora hasn’t returned home after he left for his tuition classes yesterday.
“He used to return home from the tuition centre and computer institute by 5 pm every day. However, yesterday he did not return. We are in shock,” said Bashir Ahmad, a relative.
