Government forces on Sunday morning launched a cordon and search operation in Tujjar village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official said that the operation was launched by Army’s 22 RR unit and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police in the village.
“The operation was launched following specific inputs about the militants in the area, ” he said.
SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal confirmed that the CASO was launched in Tujjar, however, no contact was established with the militants as yet.
