JAMMU, JANUARY 08: The Directorate of Environment and Remote Sensing today organised a symposium, essay writing and Painting competition on the topic “Role of birds in Forest Ecology” here at Balgran, a Charitable Home for Destitute Children, Channi Rama as part of celebration of National Bird Day.
Around 300 students along with the faculty members participated in the programme.
The Directorate awarded mementos and trophies to the winners along with the appreciation Certificates.
A cultural event depicting the role of birds in forest ecology was also organised by the School Management.
The event was organized under the supervision of DFO Environment, Kuldeep Kumar and Scientific Assistant, Majid Farooq besides staff of the Directorate.
AbhisheikPadha, social worker and expert in the field, educated the participants on the subject.
