Chandigarh, January 10: Punjab and Haryana High Court’s decision on Thursday came as a relief to former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda where the court stayed the findings of Dhingra Commission set up by BJP led Manohar Lal Khattar government in 2015.

The court rejected commission’s findings as the latter has not heard the point of view of Hooda due to which it was decided that government cannot act on the report.

The commission had probed the controversial grant of licences for prime commercial properties in Gurugram, including those given to Robert Vadra. Hooda had challenged the findings in the Punjab and Haryana HC.

Justice SN Dhingra Commission had in June 2015 concluded that businessman, son-in-law of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Robert Vadra made illegal profits of Rs 50.5 crore from a land deal in Haryana in 2008 without spending a single penny and the deal was facilitated by Hooda.
