KULGAM, JANUARY 10: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani today reviewed the arrangements for the celebrations of Republic Day function 2019, here at a meeting of line departments.
ADC Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, Executive Engineers of PDD, R&B, CEO and other district officers attended the meeting.
The meeting held threadbare discussions on arrangements to be put in place at the venue including security, seating, car parking, transportation, illumination of buildings, refreshments and accommodation for the participants.
It was decided that the main function will be held at District Police Lines where the national flag would be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising contingents of JKP, CRPF, NCC cadets and schoolchildren.
The DC issued strict instructions to all concerned departments to make advance arrangements for smooth conduct of Republic Day celebration.
The concerned departments were asked to make heating arrangements, keeping in view the prevailing cold weather conditions, for trouble-free rehearsals and final day celebration.
The DDC directed the concerned officers and agencies to maintain close coordination while making for the national function.
