A woman was injured after she was allegedly hit by an army vehicle during in Sugan village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The woman, identified as Showki Jan, was shifted to district hospital Shopian for treatment, said an official.
He said that another youth who had been hit by a bullet in his thigh was also brought to the facility for treatment.
Earlier, four persons were wounded after the government forces fired live ammunition and pellets at the protesters in Sugan village.
“Two were hit by bullets in their legs while two others had pellet injuries,” said an official, according to media, adding that the duo with firearm injuries will be referred to Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla for specialized treatment.
Witnesses said that the forces had sealed all roads to prevent a large funeral for slain Al Badr commander Zeenat ul Islam at his native Sugan village of Shopian.
