Suspected militants lobbed a grenade at a CRPF party near Ghanta Ghar in Lal chowk area of Srinagar on Friday.
Eye witnesses said that the grenade exploded with a bang.
However, there was no immediate report of any loss of life or injuries.
This is the second such attack in Srinagar in past two days.
An assistant sub-inspector of police and two traffic cops were injured in a grenade attack near Zero Bridge area of Srinagar yesterday afternoon.
