Three militants were killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Binner village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Quoting official sources, news agency reported that three militant have been killed while searches are still underway.
An army official also confirmed that three militants have been killed and search operation is going on at the encounter site, it said.
Earlier SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain said an exchange of fire took place between militants and a joint team of police and forces in the area.
Meanwhile, Internet service has been suspended in the district.
