Man arrested with heroin worth lakh of rupees

Panchkula -Jan 29 – Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Haryana Police has arrested a man with 150 gram heroin, worth lakh of rupees from the road between Ottu head and Sirsa in district Sirsa.  

            While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that the accused was identified as Satnam Singh alias Kaka, a resident of Sehzipur, district Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. During interrogation, it was revealed that seized contraband was to supply in Rania and Hanumangarh area. A case under NDPS Act had been registered against the accused in Sadar Police Station, Sirsa.

            He said that CIA team, during patrolling between Ottu head and Sirsa had spotted a suspicious man near Government School, village Chakraiyan. When the suspect accused, who was walking, intercepted and checked by police team, 150 gram heroin was recovered from his possession.

            Director General of Police (DGP), Mr B.S. Sandhu had already given directives to completely crush the menace of drug peddling and its distribution network in the state. Mr Sandhu also urged the people to come forward fearlessly, and share information against the sale, consumption and use of narcotics in the state so as to help the police to completely curb drug menace from the society.
