Udhampur Police today rescued 07 bovine animals under the jurisdiction of PS Rehambal, Udhampur.
Giving details, Sh. Rajiv Pandey,IPS SSP Udhampur said; based on some reliable information, a Police party of Police Station Rehambal led by Insp. Paramjeet Singh SHO PS Rehambal under the supervision of Sh. Zahid Saif Wani, Dy.SP Hqrs. Udhampur laid a surprise naka at NHW near Flata chowk, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. During surprise checking of vehicles, police party intercepted one mahindra bearing Registration No. Jk02 BF 9688 During the checking of said vehicle, 07 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle on way to Kashmir without permission. All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely *Mohd Shabir S/O Mangu R/O verinag, alongwith Mohd. Rafiq S/O Noor Hussain R/O Quazigund* were arrested on spot and vehicle seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No.21 /2019 U/S 188, RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is going on.
