Jammu: Police on Tuesday booked illegal miners and arrested six persons while their vehicles were seized in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
”Continuing the drive against illegal miners, acting on a tip-off, a police team, went to Anji Nallah, where the illegal mining was taking place despite being banned by the order of District Magistrate, Reasi,” police spokesman here said.
He said that the police arrested six persons, mostly drivers and labourers of tippers and tractors, were held while they were loading their vehicles with riverbed material (Sand, pebbles). Agencies
