Deposit all licensed weapons with local Police stations: DM Leh
LEH, MARCH 12: The District Magistrate (DM) Leh has ordered that all the persons possessing licensed arms /weapons within the territorial jurisdictions of district Leh shall have to immediately deposit their arms/weapons with local police stations in pursuance of section 21 of Arms Act 2016.
The weapons/arms of such license holders who do not comply with this order shall be impounded.
It is for the information of all the concerned that this is necessary in order to ensure free and fair elections and for maintenance of law and order during the general Lok Sabha elections 2019, DM said.
