General Observer for three assembly segments reviews election preparedness in Kupwara

           KUPWARA, MARCH 25: K. K. Pathak  appointed as the General Observer for three assembly segments of Karnah, Kupwara and Lolab of Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency for forthcoming Lok Sabha Election, 2019, convened a meeting here to review the overall preparedness of Election.

          The meeting held extensive discussions on various aspects of preparations for the elections including  booth level management plans, transportation plan for manpower and material, complaints redressal mechanism, training of polling staff, etc.

          On the occasion, District Election Officer Kupwara Anshul Garg presented the overall preparedness report through power point presentation related to electrification, water supply, availability of ramps, basic minimum facilities provided to Security forces at each polling station and other facilities.

          The Observer asked officials to discharge their duties effectively to ensure free and fair election in the district. He also directed the concerned agencies to gear up their field functionaries to ensure setting up of all  facilities for smooth conduct of elections across the district.

          The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner,  Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SSP Kupwara and Handwara, SDM Lolab, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara (ARO), Nodal Officers, Tehsildars and other concerned.
