The dead bodies of north Kashmir’s siblings, who drowned on Monday evening in Sailkote, Rafiabad area of north Kashmir in Baramulla district, have been recovered by the rescue team on Tuesday.
An official said that both the bodies have been recovered after the duo brother-sister drowned in Viji Nallah in Sialkote area of Rafiabad on Monday evening.
He said that the bodies were recovered with the help of rescue team and Baramulla police.
The deceased duo was identified as 8-year-old Seerat Jan and her brother 13-year-old Muhammad Ashraf Najar.
The official said that the siblings were trying to cross the nallah and due to sudden increase in water level the duo were washed away.
