BUDGAM, MARCH 29: General Observer for Chadoora and Chrar-e-Sharief assembly segments, Karnesh Sharma and Police Observer for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Ravi along with District Election Officer, Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting to review overall arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the district.
SP Budgam, Amod Ashok Nagpure, ADDC Budgam, Khurshid Ahmad Sanai, Dr Bilal Muhiuddin Bhat IAS Probationer, AROs, Nodal Officers, Dy DEO and other concerned also attended the meeting.
DEO Budgam through power point presentation briefed the observers about the poll preparedness being done in the district to ensure conduct of election in free and fair manner.
DEO said that fool proof system has been set up already with regard to all arrangements. She also briefed about the SVEEP activities, EVM/ VVPAT demonstrations, campaign, installation of assured minimum facilities at polling stations, special electoral camps for PwDs, FLC and randomization status, web casting, expenditure monitoring, security arrangement plan.
On the occasion, SP Budgam briefed observers about the security plan arrangements, force requirements for ensuring peaceful elections.
Observers on the occasion expressed satisfaction over the preparations done in the district so far regarding the conduct of free and fair Lok Sabha polls. They also interacted with the AROs and Nodal Officers during the session and shared their experiences and stressed on concerned for ensuring polls are conducted in a fair way. Later General Observer also visited venue of training programme on EVM/VVPAT demonstration.
