DLSA Udhampur organizes voter awareness programme
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 30: In order to enhance electoral participation in the forthcoming General Election, District Legal Services Authority and District Election Cell Udhampur organized a special voter awareness programme at Court Complex here today.
The awareness programme was held under the chairmanship of Sanjay Parihar, Chairman DLSA Udhampur under the banner of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) here for Bar Members, litigants and judicial employees regarding EVM and VVPAT.
Secretary DLSA, Sandeep Kour and Deputy Election Officer Udhampur, Dr. Kusum Chib were also present on the occasion.
A large number of Bar Members, Court Employees including general public participated in the training programme. They were provided hands-on training by the master trainer Subash Singh.
On the occasion, Chairman DLSA said that “we all should exercise our franchise in coming election for a healthy democracy.”
While addressing the camp, Deputy DEO exhorted upon the trainees to disseminate awareness among the common masses about the functioning of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines.
