Government forces launched a cordon and search operation at a village in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 52 RR, SOG Sopore and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in Amberpora Tarzoo village of Sopore this morning.
Locals said that the forces have been deployed in strength in the area and they were carrying out door to door searches.
An official said that searches were launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
