DEO DODA chairs meeting of Zonal, Sectoral Magistrates
DODA, APRIL 08: District Election Officer Doda, Dr Sagar D. Doifode, today chaired a meeting of designated Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates to review the overall preparedness for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in the district.
The DEO stressed on ensuring error-free polling process and asked them to maintain close coordination with polling staff for smooth conduct of elections in the district.
He further underlined that the Magistrate should be familiar with the location of the polling station, collection centres, route map, sector, transport and communication plans.
Earlier, Nodal officer EVM-VVPAT explained the responsibilities of Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates and asked them to act as facilitators for free and fair elections.
The meeting was followed by a detailed training session wherein the master trainers acquainted the Zonal and Sector magistrates about the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines in detail.
