DEO Shopian reviews poll preparedness
SHOPIAN, APRIL 08: District Election Officer (DEO), Shopian Dr Owais Ahmed today reviewed the preparedness for General Elections -2019.
The DEO reviewed the arrangements being made by various departments. He directed all concerned officers to keep their men and machinery in readiness mode for election activities in the district.
He took stock of the preparations of video viewing team, flying squad, media cell and maintenance of model code of conduct. He said that the administration is fully prepared to conduct free and fair elections in the district which are going to be held on May 06 of this year.
The DEO also urged the concerned officials to monitor the poll campaigning of political parties to ensure that the model code of conduct shall not get violated at any cost. He also told officials to maintain the norms of model code of conduct.
