BUDGAM, APRIL 08: District Election Officer (DEO), Budgam Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today reviewed Lok Sabha election arrangements here at a meeting of the Assistant Returning Officers (ARO), Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDM), Nodal Officers, Tehsildars and Zonal magistrates.

Threadbare discussions were held in the meeting and the preparation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Assured Minimum Facilities, availability of electoral rolls and voter slips were reviewed. It was given out in the meeting that all basic, required amenities and facilities have been put in place at all polling stations.

Model polling stations and other issues also came up for the review.

The DEO advised the concerned to ensure good and participatory elections. She further advised AROs to interact with Presiding Officers (PO) and stay abreast with the polling related work.

Earlier, the DEO interacted with POs of Beerwah and Budgam segments of Budgam district, which forms part of Srinagar parliamentary constituency.
