Curfew imposed in Kishtwar, Internet suspended after RSS leader attacked

Curfew was imposed in Kishtwar town on Tuesday following an attack on a Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS) leader that left him wounded and his security guard dead.

An official said that curfew was imposed in the town as a precautionary measure to prevent law and order situation.

He said mobile Internet service was snapped in Doda and Kishtwar districts to prevent spreading of rumours. 

A police official said that unidentified gunmen opened fire on RSS leader Chandrakant Singh and his security guard at the district hospital Kishtwar.

Singh, he said, was critically injured in the attack while his security guard died.
