Supplementary EVM Randomisation held at Kulgam

KULGAM, APRIL 09: The first supplement randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 was held here under the supervision of General observer N S Patel,  for two assembly segments of Kulgam and Noorabad, in presence of District Election Officer (DEO), Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani.

Assistant Returning Officers, Deputy DEO Kulgam and political party representatives were also present on the occasion.

The first supplementary randomisation was done for selecting of Ballot Units (BU) and randomisation was carried out by dedicated software to ensure free and fair polls with no human intervention.

In this process, 118 BU’s were selected for Noorabad and 154 for Kulgam assembly segment through randomisation.

On the occasion, political representatives were briefed about the randomisation process and were informed that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure free and fair polls.
