Returning Officer Jammu Parliamentry Constituency launches SVEEP sticker campaign

JAMMU, APRIL 10: Returning Officer for Jammu Parliamentary Constituency Ramesh Kumar today launched sticker campaign to spread voters awareness.

As part of Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, the sticker campaign is targeted to cover   1.5 lakh vehicles entering and leaving the district. All the vehicles will be pasted with special designed stickers under SVEEP to spread voter awareness.

The RO said the initiative shall generate awareness among the masses regarding the importance of their vote and motivate them to participate with renewed vigour in upcoming parliamentary elections.

The campaign will be coordinated by the district police and district civil administration especially through the Rural Development Department at all the major police Nakas/check posts and important routes in and around the Jammu district.

National Youth Corps volunteers, MGNREGA employees, Gram Rojgar Sahayaks and other staff of Rural Development Department along with district police personnel will be deployed on all the major Nakas and checkpoints for posting voting awareness stickers.

Among others present at the campaign launch were ACD Jammu Aijaz Qaiser, BDO Satwari Sania Haq Khan and nodal officers from different departments.
