Rangoli Chandel accuses Mahesh Bhatt

“He threw chappal on her!” Rangoli Chandel claims this in her latest tweet, referring to the veteran director Mahesh Bhatt and sister Kangana Ranaut.

In a series of fresh tweets on the micro-blogging website, Rangoli has accused Mahesh Bhatt for throwing ”chappal” on 19-year-old Kangana and not allowing her to see her own film Woh Lamhe in 2006. Wait, what?

”…but later when she went for Woh Lamhe preview to a theatre he threw chappal on her, he didn’t allow her to see her own film, she cried whole night …. and she was just 19years old,” the tweet reads.

This shocking revelations by actress’s sister has taken an ugly turn in the Twitter war that begun between Rangoli and Bhatt’s wife Soni Razdan, the other day.

Kangana Ranaut, who keeps attacking Alia Bhatt for various reasons (nepotism being one of them), was recently slammed by Alia’s mother Soni Razdan. In now-deleted tweet, she called out the Queen actress for not respecting their family, who gave her a big break in Bollywood.

Lashing at Kangana, she wrote, ”Mahesh Bhatt is the man who has given her a break … she goes on to attack his wife and daughter. Daughter over and over again. What is left to be said then about abusing and hatred I wonder. Apart from character of course. Agenda ? What’s hers … ?

Apparently, this tweet didn’t go down well with Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel.

In no time, Rangoli stood up for her sister and hit back at Razdan saying, ”Dear Soni ji, Mahesh Bhatt never gave her a break, Anurag Basu did, Mahesh Bhatt ji works as a creative director in his brothers production house.(sic)”

Kangana Ranaut made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s Gangster in 2006 and later was roped to play late actress Parveen Babi in Woh Lamhe, the same year.

In another tweet, she went on further saying, after Woh Lamhe, when Kangana refused to do a film written by Mahesh Bhatt, the director got upset and shouted at her in his office.

Not many of us know, the 2006 film Woh Lamhe was supposedly based on the secret love affair of director Mahesh Bhatt and late actress Parveen Babi.

According to the reports, in 1977, Parveen was nursing a broken heart, after ending her relationship with Kabir Bedi. It was during this time that she found solace in Mahesh, and they began a passionate relationship.

Starring Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles, the film was directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt.
