REGIONAL ROUND OF ‘BEHES’

Learning is not the acquisition of knowledge but construction of knowledge. In the era where everyone is talking about constructivism we at Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu postulates in making this concept a reality and that is the reason our Sanskritians avail the opportunities and face the challenges before them by participating in multifarious inter school competitions and leaving an imprint where ever they go.

It is pertinent to mention in the above context that a team of 15 Sanskritians namely Himanshu Bhardwaj, Manpreet Kour, Amrit Kour, Yuvraj Singh, Vaibhav Sundan, Dishant Gupta, Sushant , Vibhour Charak, Akanksha, Gurshan, Ishita, Imranpreet Kour, Symaira Jaither, Sakshi Choudhary andAmber Bhat participated in the regional round of ‘Behes’ conducted recently at APS Kaluchak. It was a two day competition to check the intellectual competencies of debaters. It is a matter of immense pride and joy that our three teams have been qualified for National round i.e Maha Behes which is going to be conducted at the end of this year. Apart from this our 6 sanskritians excelled and outdid others and has emerged as best debaters in two different categories of the competition. The names and ranks of our debators are Symaira Jaither who secured gold medal and 8
th rank , Sakshi Choudhary scored silver medal and 21st rank , Amber Bhat secured silver medal and 24th rank in cubs division, Sushant secured gold medal and 7 th rank, Himanshu Bhardwaj secured silver medal and 20th rank and Ishitasecured bronze medal and 32nd rank.

While eulogizing Ms Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of the
school asserted that such competitions prepare children for constructive dialogues and help them to explore latest trends that will transform education by reconsidering their role in it. She also said that we as stakeholders need to provide them stimulating opportunities for introspection and reflection on the same. The students were groomed and prepared under the supervision of Ms.Munmun Kohli (PGT English).
